Mark Tremonti Sings Frank Sinatra – BUY IT!

If you’re buying one album in 2022 this Mark Tremonti album is the one to buy.

First and foremost it’s for an amazing cause. Today, March 21st, is World Down Syndrome Day and Tremonti cut 14 classics for Tremonti Sings Sinatra, which he gifted to the National Down Syndrome Society (NDSS) as part of his new organization Take A Chance For Charity.

100% of the album’s proceeds will go to NDSS to help people with developmental disabilities.

In Mark’s own words  “For years, Iʼve loved singing along to Frankʼs songs.”

“One night, I found an old video of him performing ʻThe Song Is Youʼ from 1944. It made me want to dive into his vocal approach. I was all in and I wanted to do something with it. When we found out about our daughter Stellaʼs Down syndrome diagnosis, the stars aligned. My obsession with Sinatra had its reason. Frank Sinatra raised more than a billion dollars for charity and that is a fact I wish the public knew more about. Beneath his cool and calm persona, he had a big heart. Doing this charity in his name was another way the stars had aligned. I decided to do this record to raise funds for families and individuals with Down syndrome. This project is the start of a new purpose that I will have for the rest of my life.”

If that, in itself, isn’t enough to make you want to buy the album, you just need to hear it. Mark’s really stepped outside the box with this venture. Obviously he’s never shied away from change, or challenges, going from being the guitar player in Creed to forming the successful ‘super group’ Alter Bridge.  He continued to challenge himself even further, in 2012,  when he formed and fronted Tremonti who’s recorded 5 albums and are currently on tour.

None of that compares to, or even comes close to, Tremonti Sings Sinatra. You can learn more about The Story but the reality is he’s taking on a different genre, a different fan base and one of the most distinctive voices in music history. Not only did Mark take it on, and do so successfully, he did it with some of Sinatra’s original touring musicians and band leader.

Still not a believer, well here’s the first official video, “I’ve Got You Under My Skin”

I’d say that’s pretty kick ass and if meeting the challenge wasn’t enough he’s hoping others step up and outside of their box’s, show off their creativity and do more to help; as he said..

“So many talented people have other skills that their fans or followers would never expect, this is the chance to do something you’re passionate about for charity. It’s a greenlight to do whatever you want to do. It’s a win-win all around. I want people to talk about this enough to get other artists to participate,”

Based on hearing this project I hope people take up his challenge and this vision comes to fruition

“Someday, I hope I’m a little old man who raised 100 million dollars for charity. My daughter has already made everyone around her a better person. To do this for her means the world to me.”

His story is really just beginning and you can help it continue. Supporting Mark and all the future artist, who are sure to take up the challenge, is easy and starts here  tremontisingssinatra.com
